Established in 1999
We love God, the church, the city, and the nations.
Who We Are
One Body, Many Parts
TAAG Church is a New Testament church in Goddard, Kansas, that exists to know God and make Him known. We believe Christ’s life, death, and resurrection are essential to God’s plan to heal and redeem our fallen world, and we are dedicated to being a part of what He is doing in our city and throughout the nations.

Affirmation of Faith
God In Three Persons
The one true God has revealed himself as being Jesus Christ, the eternally self-existent Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of all mankind.
John 5:17-30; Deut. 6:4; Is. 43:10-11; Matt.28:19
The Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God as revealed in the Scriptures by His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death on the cross, bodily resurrection from the dead and His position at the right hand of God.
Matt. 1:23; Heb. 7:26; Acts 2:22; 1Cor. 15:3; Matt. 28:6
The Creation & Fall of Man
Man was created of God; good and upright. However, man willfully sinned and thereby was subjected not only to physical death but also to spiritual death, which is separation from God.
Gen. 1:26-27; 2:17; 3:6
Salvation
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 24:47; John 3:3
Water Baptism
The ordinance of baptism by immersion in water is commanded of all who repent and believe on Christ as Savior. It represents having died with Christ and being raised with Him to walk in newness of life.
Matt. 28:19
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit came to convict the world of sin and empower all who believe in Christ. The Holy Spirit dwells in every believer and is a helper, teacher, and guide. The Holy Spirit exists today and we exercise all biblical gifts of the Spirit.
Acts 8:12-17; Acts 1:4-8; Luke 24:49
Communion
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s suffering and death and a prophecy of His second coming. It is commanded of all believers “until he comes.”
1 Cor. 11:26; 2 Peter 1:4
Sanctification
Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. It is both an instantaneous act at conversion, but also an on-going process for the believer.
Romans 12:1-2; Romans 6:1-11
The Church’s Mission
The Church is the body of Christ with a divinely called ministry. Its purpose is to evangelize the world, worship God and encourage believers to grow in the likeness of Christ.
Eph. 1:22-23; 2:22
Divine Healing
Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement and is the privilege of all believers.
Is. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; James 5:14-16
Christ’s Second Coming
The blessed hope of the Church is Christ’s return from heaven to catch up the Christians who have died, together with those who are alive, to be with Him forever.
1Thess. 4:16-17; Romans 8:23
End Time Events
Christ will return with His saints to establish a one-thousand-year reign of peace. After this will come the final judgment of the wicked, and then a new heaven and a new earth.
Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:27,30; Matt. 25:46; Rev. 19:20; 2 Peter 3:13; Rev. 21,2

Our Story
The Story of TAAG Church
How We Started
Born out of the “Decade of Harvest” movement, Goddard Community Church was planted in 1999. The original vision was to see another gospel-centered church take root in Goddard, Kansas. Led by their founding pastor, Jeff Wilson, the church gathered for the first service at the Goddard Community Center, where a small but faithful group came together to worship and pray. From the very beginning, they longed to be a church that combined deep biblical truth with a heart for their neighbors and the nations.
How We’ve Grown
By 2004, under the leadership of Pastor Brad Young, the church had outgrown the temporary space on Main Street and moved to a permanent location on West Kellogg Avenue. Around that same time, Goddard Community Church became The Assembly at Goddard. When Pastor Brian Folden began leading in 2011, we became known as TAAG Church. Pastor Brian led the church to build a brand new building in 2016. He remained the pastor until his retirement in 2021. The church then nominated and installed Mark Summers as the new lead pastor.
Where We’re Going
In recent years, the church has been experiencing noticeable and steady growth. A building expansion is currently in process that will provide offices, a conference room, and additional classrooms. The Lord is blessing TAAG Church with more people and more space. Our heart is to steward these resources well by making disciples and reaching the community.
Ephesians 3:20-21 CSB
"Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
